Thank you to everyone who shares their plant photos on iNaturalist. Without them, LeafBe could not recognize a single plant.

The identification model

LeafBe’s machine learning model was trained with MagicaLCore using photos that iNaturalist members share under the CC0 1.0 and CC BY 4.0 licenses. Those photos were only used to train the model; they are not included in the app.

The CC BY 4.0 license requires crediting each author. The full list of photographers, with how many photos each contributed and under which license, is in the app under Settings › Photo Credits › Photographers, and can be viewed offline and shared.

Library photos

Every plant photo in the LeafBe library shows its author and license below it. They come from Wikimedia Commons and iNaturalist, and may be resized or cropped. The photo and summary for the Plant of the Day are downloaded from Wikimedia Commons and Wikipedia, and the app shows their author and license.
