MagicaLCore EDU

Terms and Conditions

Last updated: October 2026

These terms are accepted by the school, or by the person who buys MagicaLCore EDU on its behalf, for example through Apple School Manager. Students are not asked to accept anything. In the app they see: "MagicaLCore EDU is used under the terms accepted by your school. Training happens on this iPad and nothing is sent to the developer."

1. Who we are

MagicaLCore EDU is developed by an independent developer (hereinafter, "the Developer"). Contact: contactus@magicalcoreapp.com.

2. Who accepts these terms

These terms are accepted by the school or educational institution that acquires MagicaLCore EDU, or by the person who buys it on its behalf. By acquiring or deploying the app, the school confirms that it accepts these terms and that it has the authority to do so.

The school decides how the app is used and is responsible for supervising its use by its students and staff, in line with its own rules.

These terms apply only to MagicaLCore EDU.

3. What the app does

  • Six model types: image, sound, tabular data (CSV), text, hand pose and hand action classifiers.
  • Local training on the iPad, with statistics and charts.
  • Testing with files, or live with the camera and microphone.
  • History, with trainings that can be paused and resumed.
  • Export of a .mlmodel file for Swift Playgrounds and Xcode.
  • Tutorials for every model type.

The app has no ads, no subscriptions and no accounts.

4. Price and licences

  • MagicaLCore EDU costs $234.99 in a single payment. There are no subscriptions and nothing renews.
  • Schools can buy licences in volume through Apple School Manager, with a 50% discount when buying 20 or more licences.
  • Licences are managed by the school through Apple School Manager or the App Store. Prices may vary by region.
  • Purchases are also subject to Apple's terms, including the standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

Free trial. Before buying, a school may try the app for free through TestFlight, Apple’s app for testing apps. The trial version is for evaluation by the school’s staff, stops working after the period set by TestFlight, and is also subject to Apple’s TestFlight terms. The trial includes the trial guide; the teacher’s guide and the student notebook come only with a purchase.

5. Teaching materials

The teacher's guide and the student workbook are sent to the school with its proof of purchase and carry a watermark with the school's name. They are for the internal use of that school only and may not be shared, sold or published outside it.

6. Requirements

MagicaLCore EDU works only on iPad, and needs an iPad with an M1 chip or later running iPadOS 26 or later. Training time and the size of the datasets depend on each iPad.

7. Content and models

The school and its users keep all rights to the data they import and to the models they create. They are responsible for having the right to use that data, and for how the exported models are used. Photos or recordings of people should only be used with the permission required by the school's rules.

8. The school's responsibilities

MagicaLCore EDU collects no personal data, shows no ads and does not track students. This makes it easier for schools to use it under laws such as COPPA, FERPA, state student privacy laws in the United States, and the GDPR and UK GDPR. See the Privacy Policy for details. The school remains responsible for its own obligations, for example informing families, deciding which students use the app and supervising what data they train with.

9. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the app to train models on content you do not have the right to use.
  • Do not use the app, or the models created with it, for unlawful purposes.
  • Do not reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app.

10. Limitation of liability

  • The accuracy of a model depends on the data and settings used to train it. The Developer does not guarantee any particular result.
  • Models should not be used as the only basis for decisions that affect people's health, safety or rights.
  • The Developer does not guarantee that the app is free of errors or that a training will complete on every iPad or dataset.
  • The Developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of the app or of the models created with it, within the limits allowed by law.

11. Intellectual property

All rights to MagicaLCore EDU, including its code, design, brand and content, belong to the Developer. The school receives a limited, non exclusive and non transferable licence to use the app for teaching.

12. Privacy

The app does not collect personal data. See the MagicaLCore EDU Privacy Policy.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws that apply to the Developer, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights you have under the laws of the country where you live. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app.
